Messrs. Adnan Puteh & Saleh (formerly known as Messrs. Adnan Yusof & Saleh) was established in February 2012. The Firm comprises of two Partners namely Datuk Adnan Hj. Puteh and Hj. Jamadi Saleh. The Firm is assisted by two legal Associates namely Adelia binti Datuk Adnan and Farah Saira binti Abd Razak. The Partners have been in active legal practice since 1988 (Datuk Adnan Hj. Puteh) and 2006 (Hj. Jamadi Saleh) respectively. I am very disappointed with the service provided by this law firm. During the first consultation session, I clearly stated to Mujib and Attorney Laila about my counterclaim, meaning that all four ears had heard, but this matter was ignored and not included in the claim documents. When I asked, Alfian tried to cover up the mistake by giving an untrue excuse that counterclaims cannot be included. In reality, when I hired a new lawyer, all three of my claims were successfully included without any problems. This shows that the previous firm failed to understand or perform its duties properly. I paid RM250 for the first consultation and RM3,000 for the case opening fee without any delay, because I expected professional service. Most disappointingly, I have been requesting a quote since day one but Attorney Laila only promised “later.” Only after 8 months did the quote come. During this period, communication with Mujib was also very disappointing, with slow responses and no commitment. I think my biggest mistake was choosing this firm. To the public who want to get their services, make sure you get a written quote before making any payment. I did not agree with their fee rates and without further discussion, they withdrew from representing me, causing a lot of wasted time, energy, money and delay in the case. Now I am with a new lawyer who is much more transparent, the first consultation was a quote and communication was smoother. In fact, I just found out that there are court fees imposed on my case that the old lawyer never informed me about. The act of making a decision without discussing it first is very unprofessional and unethical.
